Trump Says Indictment Won’t Stop Him From Running For President In 2024

If Democrats were hoping that the relentless pressure on Donald Trump would make him back down, they were apparently wrong.

Trump was a guest on conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt’s radio show on Thursday, dropping some very interesting nuggets.

Among them: He not only believes he won’t be indicted, but if he were, it wouldn’t stop him from running for President.

Further, he warned that an indictment would lead to “…problems in this country the likes of which perhaps we’ve never seen before. I don’t think the people of the United States would stand for it.”

The Left talks more about Donald Trump than conservatives talk about Donald Trump.

It’s a mental illness at this point.

Would Run Anyway

Trump told Hewitt that he doesn’t think an indictment is coming – saying he’s done nothing wrong.

And if he were to be indicted, he would still run for president. He stated, “…as you know, if a thing like that happened, I would have no prohibition against running. You know that.”

What the mainstream media will run with came with Trump’s warning about what would happen if he were indicted:

“There is no reason that they can [indict], other than if they’re just sick and deranged, which is always possible, because I did absolutely … nothing wrong. If it happened, I think you’d have problems in this country the likes of which perhaps, we’ve never seen before. I don’t think the people of the United States would stand for it.”

Hewitt knew exactly what the media would get up to: “You know that the legacy media will say you’re attempting to incite violence with that statement. How do you respond to what will inevitably…”

Trump broke in to say, “That’s not inciting, I’m just saying what my opinion is. I don’t think the people of this country would stand for it.”

Some accuse us conservatives as being obsessed with Mr. Donald Trump. I am not obsessed with the man but yes I am obsessed with the idea behind the man of Making America Great Again! Who wouldn’t want that?

Polls Back Up Trump

While Democrats and the left throw everything they can at the Trump indictment wall to see if it will stick, polls tend to side with Trump. A recent NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist National poll showed that, among Republicans, 61% said he should run for president in 2024.

The raid at Mar-a-Lago does not seemed to have helped anti-Trump forces either. Of those polled, 63% of Republicans agree with Trump and don’t believe he did anything illegal or unethical.

The media is doing its best to convince Americans that the GOP is moving away from Donald Trump. But other non-scientific polls also show otherwise. At this year’s CPAC conference, Trump won the presidential straw poll with 59% of the vote. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis came in second at 28%.

In July, at a Turning Point USA conference, Trump won by an even bigger margin with 78.7%, and DeSantis with just 19.0%.

Its all about 2024 & #Trump.

They cant get him so they will try & drum up something on associates & paint Trump as guilty by association.

This is the strategy https://t.co/3zfDv5ug2W

If They Can’t Get Trump, Allies May Be The Next Best Thing

Recently, a federal grand jury in Washington D.C. was empaneled to investigate the creation and spending of Trump’s Save America PAC. Former senior Trump adviser Stephen Miller was also subpoenaed in relation to the investigation.

Also targeted are in-house counsel Boris Epshteyn and former campaign strategist Mike Roman. Each had cell phones confiscated, reportedly as part of the DOJ investigation into the Jan. 6 riot. At least 40 other subpoenas have gone out to Trump allies regarding the investigation.

This week, MyPillow CEO and close Trump ally Mike Lindell was also served with a search warrant and had his cell phone seized. Lindell has long been a vocal critic of the 2020 election.

There has been much speculation as to whether Donald Trump will run for president in 2024, and if he will make any kind of announcement regarding a run after the midterm election. Joe Biden and the Democrats know they have to work fast. They don’t have much time.
