Chinese Government Establishes Foreign ‘Police Stations’ To Monitor And Harass Citizens Living Abroad

The Communist Chinese government has instituted “overseas police stations” to monitor Chinese citizens who are currently living abroad. Currently, there is one station in New York City and three in Toronto, Canada.

Human rights watchdog group Safeguard Defenders has reported that these 110 known police stations are actively being used to “crack down on all kinds of illegal and criminal activities involving overseas Chinese” citizens.

Why is there a Chinese police station in N.Y.C. and Toronto? We are abetting China spying on our citizens that are Chinese? They are buying land, opening police stations in very progressive areas. WTF are we doing?

Long Arm of The Communist Party

These overseas police stations are primarily looking at activities such as fraud and telecommunications scams. However, the Safeguard Defenders have reported that their roles might be greater than just what officials claim. And, they may be going beyond their declared role by attempting to keep Chinese citizens in-line with domestic Chinese Communist Party (CCP) policies.

According to the report by Safeguard Defenders, between April 2021 and July 2022, some 230,000 Chinese citizens have been “persuaded to return” to the mainland to face criminal proceedings. The means used in persuading these Chinese citizens to return to China are not surprising.

The report says, “Government documents also shows a variety of measures police have been instructed to take, in addition to the long-standing tradition of threatening harassment, detention or even imprisonment of family members back in China for targets that refuse to comply. One such method, outlined in official documentation, is to deny children of the suspect still in China the right to education.”

The Safeguard Defenders report slams the Chinese government saying that the practices, “deprives [Chinese nationals] of the right to be considered innocent until proven otherwise and the right to a fair trial, and also institutes a far-reaching ‘guilt by association’ paradigm.”

Threatening and intimidating family members is the norm for the Chinese government. methods like cutting power and water to family members homes. Also spray painting homes with messages labeling them as having committed crimes.

Find it bizarre that some of the reactions to Chinese police stations setting up shop in foreign cities is that they’re harmless, mostly for renewing IDs. It literally says what it is on the label, they are telling you what it is, yet folks’ll come up with an excuse at any cost.

‘Providing Vital Services’

The police stations are not only in the U.S. and Canada. Europe has the largest number of stations in just about every major European city including London, Amsterdam, Prague, Budapest, Athens, Paris, Madrid, and Frankfurt.

The CCP is defending the stations, saying that they were established in part to handle such administrative tasks as renewing driver’s licenses.

However, the watchdog report states that many of the services the stations claim to be carrying out could be done by embassies. The report says that the stations have morphed into China’s attempt to expand their intelligence gathering capabilities simply to coerce citizens into actions and behaviors they otherwise wouldn’t comply with.

China has opened dozens of police offices overseas to monitor Chinese citizens, one of them in NYC. WTF!

We have no Border Control & now we are giving Chinese Police authority.

Other Than Purely Good Intentions

The Communist Chinese government is always attempting to convince the world that their intentions are nothing but pure. As our military readies the new Artemis rocket for launch, we should keep in mind that the Chinese are very much interested in space competition with the United States.

The Chinese are not just interested in landing men on the moon and doing scientific research. In addition to aligning themselves with Russia in the possibility of landing a rover on Mars, there are other more dubious pursuits. Department of Defense officials have stated that China would like to build capabilities to take out U.S. satellite systems.

Last month, the Pentagon said that, “China appears to be on track to surpass the U.S. as the dominant space power by 2045.” Intelligence officials are also issuing warnings saying, “Beijing is working to match or exceed U.S. capabilities in space to gain the military, economic, and prestige benefits that Washington has accrued from space leadership.”

Couple an impending space race with China with the fact that Chinese companies have been buying up a lot of American farmland recently. And not just any farmland, land that is worth billions of dollars. But the most curious aspect of this is that the land is very near military bases.

CNN reported back in July that the FBI had discovered that the Chinese company Huawei had installed equipment on cell towers that was capable of not only collecting data, but also disrupting defense communications.
