While Zara releases plenty of special collections throughout the year (most recently with Narciso Rodriguez), it’s somewhat rare that they collaborate with celebrities who aren’t technically fashion designers. But much to my delight, an exception came today in the form of Kaia Gerber, and her inspiration for it is incredibly relatable.
As reported in a press release for the collaboration, Gerber said “My starting point for this collaboration with Zara was to ask if it is possible to do a collection that has everything you would ever need in your closet. If you were traveling and packed an entire collection, could it cover every possible need that you had? I think we’ve achieved that.” They have indeed. The collection is comprised of 61 elevated, mostly neutral-colored basics (accessories included) that can easily be mixed and matched. And the majority of the pieces are under $100.
Since the collection is pretty extensive, I made a list of the best buys from it (in my opinion). Scroll to shop and to see Gerber modeling some of the achingly chic pieces.
I’m picky about baggy jeans but these are pretty great.
The fact that it’s cashmere seals the deal.
The non-boring denim jacket of your dreams.
Belts are back, baby.
Cargo pants at their most sophisticated.
This shirt is business in the front, party in the back.
I can think of so many ways to style this cozy dress.
Pair these with the previous cowboy boots.
A perfect oversized blazer if I ever saw one.
I’m kind of shocked these perfect puddle pants aren’t sold out yet.
I don’t know about you but I love a good cropped sweatshirt.
Thank you for designing the perfect knee-length cowboy boots, Kaia.
Wait ’til you see the back.
This micro-mini would certainly make for a fun wardrobe addition.
These low-rise jeans could easily pass for designer.
Next up, the $70 Zara version of the $450 shoes French girls love.
