Keep scrolling to check out the elevated pieces Kaur is reaching for to create her chicest looks this season. As a preview, there’s everything from strong tailoring picks to the color she absolutely loves right now. Go on for visual inspiration and intel from Kaur as well as shopping recommendations.

On Kaur: Favorite Daughter suit. “There are so many options to choose from—a structured look for work or a playful option for a wedding or dinner. And the fun of it all is that you can wear your suit as separates. I love wearing just my blazer with jeans, tees, turtlenecks, or my dad’s old chambray button-downs. At the same time, I can make my trousers look equally cool worn with some form of athletic shoe to create that Phoebe Philo effortless yet extremely chic look.”

On Kaur: J.Crew jacket. “I swear I practically wore this jacket to see bands in the late 1970s and early 1980s (with Converse and jeans of course). For dressing up, a smart tuxedo pantsuit kills it every time. Lately, I’m wearing mine casually draped over my shoulders. It’s brilliant. A favorite on every level.”

On Kaur: Favorite Daughter bodysuit. “These one-piece wonders literally make my head spin with outfit possibilities. Just think of it as a chic blouse with a second secret half that makes it so easy to ‘tuck in.’ This silk number from Favorite Daughter is my work-to-party top go-to.”

On Kaur: Anthropologie skirt. “There is just something about leather that says, ‘avant-garde!’ Whether you prefer the real deal, faux, or vegan. Since the silhouette of the moment is extra long and close to the body, what better than a chic leather skirt to get in on the trend? I love the fact that this isn’t super-optic white but a little warmer.”

On Kaur: Anthropologie vest. “This classic, versatile piece can be worn solo (all summer long ) with any kind of jeans or as part of a suit with matching trousers. Right now, I like the idea of layering a turtleneck under and later throwing on a tweed blazer that suddenly screams cozy and chic.”

On Kaur: Roztayger bag. “This color story happening on the fall runways has left me craving for pops of neon right now. If you’re like me and not ready to commit entirely to the mood-enhancing color, how about highlighting your outfits with an accessory? A little bag perhaps? It’s an easy way to add a pop of color to an evening dress or jeans and a tee. Also, I bet it’s going to be a great little vibrant mood lifter once those winter doldrums hit.”
