Daredevil Robbie Knievel, Son of the Legendary Evel Knievel, Dead at 60

Robbie Knievel, the son of daredevil Evel Knievel, died Friday at the age of 60.

Robbie, who took the same path as his daredevil father, died after a long fight with pancreatic cancer.

Previous to his death, Robbie was checked into a hospice facility for four days where he passed away.

In his lifetime, Robbie Knievel performed over 300 dangerous jumps and set over 20 world records.

One of his most famous jumps was when he became the first person to jump over the fountains at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Another legendary jump that took him out of his father’s shadow was when he jumped the Grand Canyon.

Kelly Knievel, Robbie’s sister, told The Associated Press: “He was a great daredevil. People don’t really understand how scary it is what my brother did.”
