Fetterman Spox: No New Stroke Detected; Hospital Testing for Seizure

A spokesman for freshman Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) said Thursday evening that hospital tests show no signs of a new stroke and that he is being held for testing for a seizure with no sign of one detected so far. No diagnosis has been given yet for the reported lightheadedness that prompted Fetterman’s trip to George Washington University Hospital in Northwest Washington, D.C. Wednesday evening.

“NEWS: About an hour ago Sen. Fetterman received the results of his MRI. According to John’s doctors at The George Washington University Hospital, the results of the MRI, along with the results of all of the other tests the doctors ran, rule out a new stroke…John is being monitored with an EEG for signs of seizure – so far there are no signs of seizure, but he is still being monitored. Our team will continue to provide information as it comes in and we will have more updates as we get them.”

Previous statement by Fetterman’s office Wednesday evening that described him as being in “good spirits and talking with his staff and family.”

Fetterman suffered a debilitating stroke last May before the Democrat primary. His wife Gisele and staff delayed informing the public about the stroke and then covered up how devastating the stroke was until after the primary. Fetterman delayed a general election debate until after early voting had started in an effort to prevent voters from seeing how difficult it was for him to function. Fetterman won the general election and here we are.

Watch the full question, and then watch the full answer.

It feels politically and medically unethical to have Fetterman run for office right now. If the media can’t cover this very serious issue after the debate, they are truly hopeless. pic.twitter.com/9ByAZiipA7
