Mega Man X Makes its Way to Android

Although it has been sitting on the bleachers for some time, Mega Man is one of the most beloved Capcom franchises we know. While the world waits for a new game to emerge, Capcom has just published Mega Man X on Android, almost a decade after it first debuted on iOS.

After being on iOS for a long time, Mega Man X finally comes its way to Android

Now, you have to understand that the Mega Man X is a remastered version of the same game released on SNES back in ’93. It later made its way to iOS ten years ago but has been missing from Android ever since. Capcom finally seems to have had a change of heart since the game is now available on Android, but some features have been removed.

Let’s start with the graphics, and well, they look a lot better than I remember when I played it on SNES. However, Mega Man X had this feature where the actions you took earlier in the game would affect the boss fights in later stages; for some reason, Capcom has removed this feature. To make the game more fun and rewarding, you have various difficulty settings along with Achievements to keep you happy and busy. The soundtrack is still as good as I remember; if anything, it sounds better.

At the time of writing, Mega Man X does not have support for external controllers. Thankfully, upon trying out the game with on-screen controls, I am happy to report that you are not going to run into any issues. However, you will have to get used to the game as it is safe to assume that you have not had the chance to play a Mega Man game for a long time.

The game is available to download from Play Store for $9.99. You can check it out here.
