Cyberpunk 2077 Better FSR Mod Introduces Visual Improvements At Limited Performance Cost

A new Cyberpunk 2077 mod shared online earlier this week introduces some tweaks for the game’s AMD FSR implementation to offer better visual quality with a minimal performance cost.

The Better FSR mod, created by cire420siuol and shared on Nexus Mods, is a set of .ini tweaks that improve the visual quality of FSR by enabling “Halton” anti-jitter pattern while increasing the SampleCount value, which results in a cleaner image with less jitter and much better detail, as showcased in the three comparison screenshots released by the mod’s creator.

The tweaks included in Cyberpunk 2077 Better FSR mod can also be used to improve the game’s image quality beyond native. This, however, comes at a considerable performance cost, as seen in the comparison video below.

This version is for those of you that don’t really need the performance uplift from FSR, but want better than native image quality (better resolving of fine details, less “shimmering” of model/texture edges, less ghosting, etc)… Fair warning, though… It uses values that may or may not actually do anything, but I feel like it looks better… And kinda performs worse than the other versions or vanilla FSR, and that’s usually a good sign…lol… You guys/gals be your own judges, though… Native on the left, “Native Replacer” on the right…

Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One worldwide. The Phantom Liberty expansion will release sometime this year on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S only.
