Smartphone batteries have come a long way–they are now slimmer and smaller than their older counterparts and, most importantly, a lot more durable, too. A good, mid-range smartphone like the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G can take you a long, long way provided it has a good battery with great software optimization. Ideally, if a phone these days comes with a 5,000 mAh battery, we are all off to the races but it seems like Reddit user u/Downtown_Cranberry44 does not agree with this.

The user decided to take their unassuming Galaxy A32 5G and upgraded the battery life on the smartphone. You are getting a decent set of specs, 5,000 mAh battery life, and everything that you would expect from a Samsung mid-range phone. Considering how the internals are not power hungry all the time, the battery timing is excellent, to say the least.
But not as per the user because they have decided to modify their Samsung Galaxy A32 5G with a 30,000 mAh battery, by my estimation, the phone is gong to last you at least a week or so. The user, however, claims that the phone has managed to last two days so far and the battery itself took seven hours to fully charge.
The modification on this Samsung Galaxy A32 5G might seem like a simple thing but it is definitely not something that looks pleasing. You can have a look at how the phone looks below.
The user claims that it took a total of six Samsung 50E 21700 cells and for some reason, the phone is still showing the original capacity and weighs a lot. This Samsung A32 5G is one of a kind, as it can act as a power bank thanks to two USB-A ports and a USB Type-C port for fast charging. Sadly, the mod more or less has destroyed the phone and for some reason the battery percentage is stuck at 1%.
All of this sounds tempting and having a phone that never really runs out of battery is a great thing. However, it is the least practical way of modifying a phone. Sure, it is good if you are expecting a zombie outbreak or you are expecting a power outage that is going to last you a long, long time but for anything else, this is definitely not the ideal way to do things. The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G is already a stellar phone and putting it through so much torture is just not right.
