Theatrhythm Final Bar Line, the latest entry in the rhythm game series by Square Enix released last month on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch worldwide, will receive a new update next month that will introduce some welcome improvements.
The April update, whose details have only been shared on the game’s official Japanese website at the time of writing, will introduce a playback timing range increase with a value that can be adjusted up to 100, essentially making it easy to adjust any latency issue that may occur with Bluetooth headphones, for example. The new update will also improve the feel of the FMS tracks’ trigger hold, with the sticks’ up and down movements adjusted to better match the on-screen curve. Lane cover settings will also be fixed, alongside other issues such as the achievement for getting 999 in all stats not popping up and more.
Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is the definitive version of the experience introduced by the original Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, featuring a huge selection of tracks lifted from all main entries in the Final Fantasy series and spin-offs like Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions, Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, other popular Square Enix titles such as the SaGa series, Chrono Trigger, the NieR series, the Mana series and more. Additional expansion packs will continue to be released until this coming November to further expand the base game’s already massive tracklist.
Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is now available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch worldwide. The game’s next update will release next month, but a precise launch date has yet to be confirmed.
