Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 Spotted on Geekbench, Model Number, Better Single and Multi Core Score Than Galaxy S23 Ultra

Samsung should be unveiling the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 later this year, somewhere between August and September. Both devices have leaked extensively in the past and although we do not exactly know how they look, plenty of noteworthy information is available about these two phones. Especially the fact that these devices are to use a waterdrop hinge mechanism that would increase the durability and allow the devices to fold completely flat, making these a much better option. Now, both phones have finally appeared on Geekbench, confirming their scores along with their respective model numbers.

Both the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 perform significantly better than the Galaxy S23 Ultra despite being based on the same chipset

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 has the model number SM-F946U and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 has the model number SM-F731U. Of course, these are the U.S. models, and you can expect slightly different model numbers internationally. Both devices are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, offering higher-than-normal clock speeds. However, the most interesting part is that both of these phones, despite being in early stages of development, are still faster than the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which apparently uses the same chipset.

You can see how the Galaxy Z Fold 5 performs in Geekbench below. The scores are impressive on both single-core and multi-core. The foldable is packing 12 gigs of RAM, The reason why these are such impressive scores is that the Galaxy S23 Ultra (SM-S918B) scores 1,364 in single core and 4,460 in multi-core benchmarks.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 scores can be seen below.

The same can be seen with the Galaxy Z Flip 5 with its 8 gigs of RAM. The scores are significantly better than what we have seen in the Galaxy S23 Ultra. This could mean that these devices are even more optimized in terms of hardware, which is always a good thing because you are going to get better performance.

As far as the release date is concerned, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 are both slated to release between August and September, later this year. Samsung is also set to reveal new tablets, and perhaps a new set of wearables during the event but we will keep you posted as we move forward to the release date. Expect a lot more details coming forward, so stay tuned.
