Apple’s AR Headset Leaks to Show Additional Details of Connectors and Shape of the Goggle Enclosure

Apple announce yesterday that it will be hosting its WWDC 2023 event on June 5 to announce new software. If Apple follows the same format as last year, we might also see new hardware at the event. Last year, the company announced the redesigned MacBook Air with an M2 chip. This year, we are expecting the company to announce the bigger 15-inch MacBook Air alongside the high-anticipated AR Headset. A new leak shows Apple’s AR Headset components in extensive detail. Check out eth high-res images below.

High-Res Leaked images of Appke’s AR Headset show the ribbon cable in extensive detail

This is not the first time images of Apple’s rumored AR Headset have been leaked online. These are the same images that leaked a while back but show a lot more detail. The previously shared images were blurred out and did not reveal any additional details about the AR Headset. Credits to Sonny Dickson who shared the high-quality image on Twitter.

The leaked images of the AR Headset show ribbon cables designed and arranged in such a fashion that mimics the frame of the goggles. Take note that the images do not reflect the design of the AR Headset as it is only an internal component that connects to the rest of the machine. As you can see, the pictures reveal ribbon cables around the eyes to transfer relevant data.

Compared to the previous images, the high-res images showcase part numbers, allowing them to be easily identified. The leaked images of the AR Headset do not paint a picture that reflects the design of the device. Apple’s AR Headset has rested in the rumor mill for a while and there have been no major leaks that portray the design. However, we have heard numerous times that the headset will be powered by Apple’s M-series chips for enhanced computational and graphical performance.

Other than this, the AR Headset will also feature multiple micro OLED screens capable of 4K video output each. With micro OLED screens, the headset will be less power-hungry and thinner than traditional OLED panels. Apple’s headset will also feature an external display to show the expressions of the wearer.

Apple could announce its AR Headset at the WWDC 2023 event on June 5 alongside the 15-inch MacBook Air. Additionally, the headset will be the company’s first major product release since the Apple Watch launch in 2015. We will keep you guys updated on the latest, so be sure to stick around.
