Jeans, jeans, they’re a wonderful fruit. They’re the all round performer—year on year. The jean was originally created as as workwear and now we’re making them work hard across multiple trends and occasions.
They’re a piece of clothing which can essentially dress-down a look or dazzling accessory to allow it to translate to the daywear. They’re built to last and often look so much better with a bit of wear and tear integrated into their fabric after years of love and memories.
One of my favourite ways to wear jeans is with a simple shirt. The crisp shirt is the perfect addition to for days where it’s still warm enough to wear alone and works well underneath another two trends of blazers or leathers—beautifully executed by the likes of Gucci for AW23 with loose and slouchy business up-top.
Shoes of any shape of style can still have their moment with jeans too, whether you’re looking to reveal an embellished point from beneath a long and baggy denim hemline or a retro-inspired trainer below a turn-up style. A loafer with a bare ankle or socks also look great with a pencil leg jean, whilst a Chelsea boot appearing under an ankle-grazing pair of jeans also hits the mark.
