I’m a Fashion Editor—16 Affordable Jewellery Brands I Wish I Could Keep a Secret

Let’s be straight here: There’s absolutely a time and place for fine jewellery (aka those future heirlooms that are purchased for a big birthday or presented in a little black box). But these aren’t necessarily the pieces you want to be wearing on the average working day sitting in front of a laptop screen. One thing’s for sure: There’ll always be a space in our accessory arsenal for affordable jewellery that caters to our low-key fashion needs.

I, for one, don’t subscribe to the idea that in order to look stylish you need to exclusively splash the cash on designer wares. I bought most of my jewellery on the high street, and it has happily served me for years. It’s all about keeping a beady eye out for a good piece or design that will stand the test of time and cater to a variety of outfits and occasions.

If you’re not sure where to start, let me help you. I’ve done a bit of digging and found some chic jewellery brands, from the typical high-street store to lesser known gems. From Accessorize’s vintage-inspired treasures and delicate chains via Daisy Jewellery to Daphine’s everyday staples, scroll down to see and shop the 16 affordable brands I’m loving right now.

Founded in London in 2018 by Damasia Ball and Philippine de Follin, Daphine specialises in classic, timeless designs that are created to transcend trends. The brand’s cocktail rings are a particular favourite of the fashion crowd.

Simply adorable. Does it get more classic than a pair of hoops?

Perfectly capturing the laid-back, ‘high glamour’ of the 1970s’.

Wear this alone or stacked beside other favourites.

For affordable jewellery pieces that can be mixed and matched and layered up, take a look at Astrid & Miyu’s collections. The minimal chains and gold vermeil hoops are perfect for both birthday presents and treat-yourself buys.

Sure to stand out in any jewellery collection.

Ideal for adding a celestial touch to your outfit.

A silhouette unlike any other.

From asymmetric earrings to pendant necklaces, Amelia Scott is your one-stop shop for quirky, adorable jewellery. I have my eye on the Amelia Bow Earrings, which come in a few different variants and colours, so you can find the ones that suit you perfectly.

A statement-making pair all on their own.

Fruity and fabulous!

Completely dazzling.

If you’re looking for geometric earrings and organic-shaped jewellery, check out London-based label A Weathered Penny. These pieces will instantly elevate even the simplest of looks.

An abstract shape is perfect for keeping things fresh.

The beautiful linked chain is simply timeless.

Double the hoop means double the gorgeousness.

If your taste is more dainty, head over to Matthew Calvin. These will be pieces you will wear for years to come with literally every outfit in your repertoire. Cue simple studs and stackable rings…

When in doubt, simple is always best.

This ring looks so romantic coiled around the finger.

A shape inspired by the gentle ebb and flow of the tide.

I currently own a chain necklace from Daisy Jewellery, and I wear it all the time. Toeing the line between trend-led and classic, it has everything from pearl pendants to Art Deco–inspired shield rings.

Sure to be your new obsession.

This chain proves snake necklaces are here to stay

Small yet so impactful.

This is one of the best of the bunch. Accessorize is an undisputed staple of the high street and online jewellery scene. In amongst the timeless, classic gems, you’ll find striking costume and sterling silver pieces for £50 and under. Head to the new in sections for the latest and greatest.

Take it from us, pearls will never go out of style.

So reminiscent of a vintage classic.

A tennis bracelet is always a good idea.

With a mix of pieces and price points, V by Laura Vann is on the upper end of the affordable-jewellery spectrum, but it’s totally worth it for the quality. A go-to for layerable chains and signet rings.

A shape this elegant is ideal for special occasions.

It’ll look stunning between an open collar shirt.

An heirloom in the making.

I’m having a bit of an ear-cuff moment, and Orelia has the best selection right now—and at such an affordable price point! Most are under £20. I’m eyeing the wavy ear cuff in particular.

This’ll stand out even when layered amongst your other favourites.

Be prepared for compliments all day.

This twinkles so magically under the light.

For classic designs and personalisable alphabet jewellery, take a look at Rachel Jackson London. I only discovered the brand recently, but I won’t be forgetting it anytime soon.

Sometimes, a simple statement piece is all you need.

There’s no better way to make things personal.

Designed to be worn and loved for years to come.

Chunkier pieces do so much without even trying.

This feel so high-end.

So feminine, so graceful.

If you’ve spent any time on Instagram, you’ve likely come across this influencer-favourite jewellery brand. While you’ll spot some more expensive pieces on Monica Vinader’s website (crafted from solid gold and diamond), there is also a range of elegant necklaces, earrings and rings under the £100 mark.

The hammered finish gives these a delightful antique feel.

Monica Vinader can always be counted on to make streamlined silhouettes feel magical.

The uneven appearance feels so cutting edge.

I love Edge of Ember for gorgeous, forever jewellery that doesn’t break the bank. My favourites have to be the hoops, as well as the alphabet necklaces.

An everyday piece that’s utterly extraordinary.

A piece as unique as you are.

Opt for a wider shape to heighten the effect.

Roxanne Assoulin’s bright, creative pieces will bring the sunshine out whatever the weather. Since 2006 she has been designing mood-boosting jewellery with the kind of dedication and attention to detail that you can feel in every piece.

Colourful stacks like this one will liven up any ensemble.

Something about this set feels ultra glam.

The perfect way to let your jewellery do the talking.

For cute, fun-loving jewellery, there is truly no better place to turn than Crystal Haze. The nostaglia-fuelled designs ensure you’re always in for a treat.

Have two gummy bears courtesy of Crystal Haze Jewellery.

Literally sweet as can be.

But you can always treat yourself to a healthier option too, if you feel so inclined.

The entire WWW team love Mejuri for modern classics, especially the rings and hoops. The croissant dome ring is a particular favourite.

So cute!

This shape is having a real moment.

Such a pretty bracelet for yourself or to send as a gift.
