The iOS 17.5 update released last week caused some deleted photos to resurface, and to address this issue, Apple has rolled out iOS 17.5.1 with a fix for the bug.
In the release notes for iOS 17.5.1, Apple said, “This update provides important bug fixes and addresses a rare issue where photos that experienced database corruption could reappear in the Photos library even if they were deleted.”
