President Trump has weighed in on the ongoing natural disaster engulfing Southern California and California Governor Gavin Newsom will not like what he has to say.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, a massive 3,000 acre wildfire raged out of control and engulfed homes in Pacific Palisades, California, on Tuesday afternoon. Shocking and heartbreaking footage has emerged showing people abandoning their cars and running for their lives as the fire closes in.
Tragically, several individuals have lost their homes, entire livelihoods, and even their lives over the past several hours as the fire shows no signs of abating. Meanwhile, firefighters are having issues with water pressure.
The fire would not be so severe, though, had California politicians led by Newsom actually utilized common sense solutions such as clearing out the dead brush in the woods and filling the state’s depleted aquifers with water.
But the state instead has ignored the science and instead catered to radical environmentalists allegedly due to a tiny fish called a smelt. They actually felt giving the creature (and by extension, California residents) less water would help.
Unsurprisingly, it did not work.
Trump made note of these facts while absolutely destroying Newsom over his role in the ongoing disaster.
“Governor Gavin Newscum refused to sign the water restoration declaration put before him that would have allowed millions of gallons of water, from excess rain and snow melt from the North, to flow daily into many parts of California, including the areas that are currently burning in a virtually apocalyptic way,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“He wanted to protect an essentially worthless fish called a smelt, by giving it less water (it didn’t work!), but didn’t care about the people of California, he added. “Now the ultimate price is being paid.”
“I will demand that this incompetent governor allow beautiful, clean, fresh water to FLOW INTO CALIFORNIA! He is the blame for this. On top of it all, no water for fire hydrants, not firefighting planes. A true disaster!”
Trump’s anger over the issue is also particularly heightened by the fact that during his first term he warned Newsom “to take care of” the forest floors with controlled burns to prevent out-of-control fires and the fact he issued a new rule to send more water to the state.
But Newsom ignored Trump on controlled burns and California successfully sued Trump for allegedly running over the state’s water rights. Now, this is the end result.
