When Elise Stefanik leaves her Congressional seat in NY-21 to serve as Trump’s Ambassador to the United Nations, the Republican nominee will be chosen by the 15 GOP County Chairs in the district due to an unusual state law relating to special elections in the state.

Sticker Mule CEO Anthony Constantino has been an early favorite.

TGP has written extensively about Constantino, who rose to prominence for erecting the largest ‘Vote for Trump’ sign in America despite being threatened with jailtime by his Democrat Mayor.

President Trump sent him a nice note, thanking him for refusing to stand down.

Constantino even published an op-ed right here on The Gateway Pundit:

Why President Trump’s 2024 Election Was A Landslide Victory

But new shocking reports from National File allege that some of the County Chairs are scheming to squeeze Constantino and other pro-Trump candidates like Newsmax host, and 2022 U.S. Senate candidate Joe Pinion out of the race!

That handful of RINO chairs has simply declared this is a three-way race between a Trump hater, a woke RINO, and a crazy-man bureaucrat with a troubling past.

“Stefanik has not publicly endorsed a candidate, but among those running is Sticker Mule CEO Anthony Constantino, veteran State Sen. Dan Stec (who declined to endorse Trump in 2016 and 2024), Assemblyman Chris Tague (who supported DEI programs like a New York taxpayer-funded office of racial equity and social justice), ex-County Executive Steve McLaughlin (a wild man with extensive personal baggage including allegations of sexual harassment, ballot fraud, and illegal use of campaign funds.), popular Newsmax commentator Joe Pinion who was the GOP candidate for the US Senate in 2022, and three-term assemblyman and retired U.S. Marine Corps Colonel Robert Smullen, among others.”

“Anticipating Rep. Stefanik’s departure from Congress, Republican County Chairs have been meeting to weigh the different candidates in the race. A source tells National File that Constantino performed well with Republican Chairs during a recent  Zoom interview they conducted for each candidate. Newsmax commentator Joe Pinion was also well-received.

But, just days after the meetings, that source and others familiar with the meetings that spoke to National File were baffled when Politico, in their New York Playbook, claimed that three front-runners emerged from those meetings – Stec, Tague, and McLaughlin – NOT Anthony Constantino or other notable candidates who were well received:

“Three candidates are widely viewed as frontrunners for the Republican nod: Assemblymember Chris Tague, Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin and state Sen. Dan Stec, three people familiar with the discussions said.”

Speaking with some of the largest Republican County Chairs, who asked not to be named in this story, it is clear this narrative is being pushed by a small subset of County Chairs attempting to squeeze out non-establishment candidates like Constantino and Pinion.

“The subgroup of GOP County Chairs insisting that the list of contenders be limited do not constitute 50%,” one Republican County Chair told National File, and claimed that a ranked choice voting system was used, which is not legal under state party by-laws.”

The Gateway Pundit has independently verified this report, with a source sending a screenshot of an email from Fulton County Republican Committee Chairwoman Sue McNeil, who is believed to be behind this scheme, which lays it all out plain as day.

McNeil, who additionally serves as Regional Vice-Chair of the New York GOP, confirms this illegal straw poll occurred, even acknowledging that not every County Chair got a vote:

A lawyer considered an expert on state election law that was retained by Constantino tells The Gateway Pundit that McNeil, who has already been successfully sued in her own county for violating state party bylaws regarding ballot access for candidates “has no authority under party rules to limit the number or names of candidates to be considered in the official convention required by the state party by-laws. She’s begging for a lawsuit with these heavy-handed tactics.”

President Trump’s agenda hinges on the GOP maintaining their narrow majority.

NY-21 was held by a Democrat as recently as 2015 – so you can be certain they will go all-out to try to take this seat back.

Constantino has already put $2.6 million of his own money into the race, and has signalled he will spend whatever is necessary out of his own pocket to win this seat. So he won’t be spending his time wooing special interest donors, but will be mission-focused on doing what is necessary to lock-in a resounding victory.

The pro-Trump millionaire doesn’t even have a donate button on his website! But he is giving away free campaign stickers to anyone who signs up on his website: Vote4Anthony.com.

The last thing we need is more RINOs in Congress. We need fighters like Anthony who will stand with Trump!

TGP will be sure to keep up with this key race that is sure to heat up in the coming weeks and months.
