Potentially disturbing news has unfolded at the DOJ just over one week into the Trump administration.

DOJ employees were seen today in DC evacuating the DOJ building supposedly due to an ‘unknown threat.’ Emergency crews, including law enforcement and specialized response units, are currently on the scene assessing the situation.

Authorities have not yet released details regarding the nature of the threat or any potential risks to the surrounding area.

WATCH:

Leo Terrell, who serves as senior counsel to the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, posted about the incident on X:

“There was an evacuation order,” he said. “We all had to leave the building.”

“The building has just been evacuated,” he added. “Why? We don’t know. It was an emergency order.”

“But I’m pretty sure we’ll find out what’s going on.”

UPDATE: Emergency officials revealed that everyone has re-entered the DOJ building without incident and that no threat was found. They said that someone pulled the fire alarm.

This leads one to wonder whether disgraced former Rep. Jamaal Bowman of New York somehow infiltrated the premises.
