Samsung Display, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics is responsible for providing the OLED displays that go into Apple. Sure, there are other runners in the market such as LG and a few Chinese suppliers, but when it comes to meeting the order quantity and quality, Apple turns to its biggest rival, and for all the right reasons. The iPhone 14 Pro was launched yesterday, and during the presentation, we noticed that the phone has something to offer that no other phone in the market does.
The display on the iPhone 14 Pro is bright… brighter than any display found on any Android phone, even on the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Which I would call the best Android phone that you can buy, at the moment.
The iPhone 14 Pro Displays Can Go as High as 2,000 Nits. Which is Really, Really Bright
The Galaxy S22 Ultra’s display can hit a peak brightness of 1,750 nits. However, the iPhone 14 Pro can go as high as 2,000 nits. Easily making it the brightest display that is available on the market. It is also worth noting that this difference of 250 nits is not exponential in its growth, and most users will not be able to tell the difference, in the first place. But it still is an impressive thing to see Apple introducing the brightest display on the market.
It is also worth noting that even though Samsung Display is a part of the Samsung conglomerate, it is also an independent business, and considering how Apple is known for shipping a massive number of iPhones, it simply is a good business decision for Samsung Display to accommodate Apple’s requests with the iPhone 14 Pro display, and well, it also, eventually, benefits Samsung, too.
However, the silver lining for Android users here is that the Galaxy S23 flagships are going to feature even better or the same displays and I will not be minding that, in the first place. however, you should be happy to know that knowing Samsung, the displays you are getting will be better.
