Apple has a new desktop OS out – macOS Ventura – and we will show you how you can download and install future software updates on it.
Apple Changed Things up in macOS Ventura – Here’s How You Can Install Future Software Updates Manually Using the New System Settings
After way too many betas, macOS Ventura is finally available for download. It is packed with great new features and some major changes in some key areas, such as System Preferences, which is now called System Settings.
In fact, if you double click on the app icon and open it up you’ll realize how similar it is to the Settings app on iPadOS. You’ll see your list of options on the left and everything you can change within that category on the right.
This also means System Settings is a totally different way of changing certain things on the Mac, especially if you have used an iPhone or iPad at all. And if you’re wondering how you can install future software updates manually on macOS Ventura, we will show you how to do that in this tutorial.
Download and Install Software Updates on macOS Ventura
Step 1. Click on System Settings. The easiest way to get to it is by clicking on the Apple logo in the menu bar.
Step 2. Click on General.
Step 3. Click on Software Update.
You now know how to download and install software updates on the latest version of macOS. Sure, it might take a while getting used to, but if you’ve been using iPadOS or iOS for any amount of time, then this change should feel right at home for you.
