We’ve seen plenty of impractical celebrity airport outfits lately, so it’s refreshing to see one that we non-famous folks would actually wear to the airport. See Kerry Washington. Washington was photographed at JFK this week wearing a comfortable, chic travel outfit that you could feasibly copy every time you catch a flight for the rest of your life—it’s that good.
Washington’s outfit consisted of a matching sweater set (specifically, a turtleneck sweater and loose pants, probably cashmere) in an oatmeal shade, followed by an oversize black coat and white sneakers. The set looks comfortable enough to take a nice long transcontinental nap in and the coat adds a dose of polish to the look. And you know what they say—always wear your bulkiest piece on the plane so that it doesn’t take up your entire suitcase.
