Elon Musk taunted far-left Senator Ed Markey after the Democrat complained about a verified account impersonating his own on the Twitter platform.
The exchange took place after Markey posted a letter griping about the new $8 blue check service, noting that a Washington Post reporter was easily able to create a fake account in his name.
“A [Washington Post] reporter was able to create a verified account impersonating me — I’m asking for answers from [Elon Musk] who is putting profits over people and his debt over stopping disinformation,” Markey tweeted.
“Twitter must explain how this happened and how to prevent it from happening again.”
The Massachusetts Democrat posted images of a letter he had sent to Musk demanding answers to certain questions and stating that “allowing an imposter to impersonate a U.S. Senator” is “a serious matter.”

Elon Musk Mocks Senator Ed Markey
Elon Musk, whose Twitter feed is the most entertaining thing to hit the social media platform since former President Donald Trump was banned, fired back at Senator Ed Markey.
The Tesla CEO suggested it might be rather easy to impersonate his account because the Democrat is already a parody of himself.
“Perhaps it is because your real account sounds like a parody?” Musk replied.

In a follow-up post, Musk joked about Markey’s profile picture having a mask, especially when the pandemic has been declared over by his party’s President.
“And why does your pp have a mask!?” he shot back.
And why does your pp have a mask!?

Algorithmic Justice Will Prevail
To Elon Musk’s point, Ed Markey’s Twitter feed has at times resembled a parody account.
When Musk had put a bid in to acquire the social media platform, Markey tweeted newfound concerns from Democrat lawmakers that Twitter would ‘now’ be in the hands of a “billionaire.” (There seemed to be little concern about the previous billionaire owner, isn’t that strange?)
As such, the congressman demanded new laws that would promote “algorithmic justice.”
No, I’m serious. He actually said that. It wasn’t a parody account.
Elon Musk and a handful of billionaires now have dangerous influence over the most powerful online platforms. They can’t be trusted, and self-regulation has failed. We must pass laws to protect privacy and promote algorithmic justice for internet users, especially for kids.

Markey continued his crusade to bring ‘algorithmic justice’ to the masses in his response to Musk’s mockery.
“One of your companies is under an FTC consent decree. Auto safety watchdog NHTSA is investigating another for killing people. And you’re spending your time picking fights online,” Markey replied.
“Fix your companies. Or Congress will.”
Apparently, “democracy” means being threatened by the government for mocking politicians, now.

Musk has been the subject of similar threats by prominent people since he purchased Twitter.
The President of the United States in recent days suggested Musk’s acquisition of Twitter and his relationships with foreign countries should be investigated after being asked if he believed the billionaire presented a “national security risk.”
POLL: Do you think the Biden admin will attack Elon Musk?
Twitter had foreign investors and was owned by a billionaire before Elon Musk came along. The only thing that’s changed is that the new owner is an advocate for free speech.
That’s why the government wants to shut him down. We’re living in an actual fascist takeover of our country by a party that despises freedom.
That used to be the talk of a parody account, but one can no longer deny what is happening.
Now is the time to support and share the sources you trust.
