At a dinner with a friend about a month ago, I mentioned that I don’t own a pair of Uggs. She stared at me in utter shock and said, “How is that even possible, Jude?!” I’ve honestly just never been in camp Ugg. In the past, I would always much rather spend my money on a pair of chic black leather ankle boots or Chelsea boots or ballet flats. Uggs were a vibe I wasn’t quite vibing with. (Wow, I can already hear the roars of “But you don’t understand how comfy they are!” as I write this.)
That was all until last week when I finally bought my first pair of Uggs, and you’ll be happy to hear I am officially converted. To be honest, it didn’t take too much persuading. I’d already seen celebs such as Bella Hadid and Elsa Hosk wearing them this fall, and then all of a sudden, a slew of ultra-stylish Ugg-boot outfits flooded my feed, and I whispered to myself, “I need a pair too.” Ah, the influence of Instagram. While I don’t think I’d go as far as wearing them to work or for an evening out, I do really love luxuriating in their cozy comfort while going about my everyday activities.
Whether you’re on the fence about Uggs or you’re obsessed with them and are just here for some Ugg styling inspo, take a look at the cool outfits below that changed my mind about wearing the comfy, controversial shoes and see just how stylish they can actually look.
