Spring has finally arrived and what I am most excited about is finally embracing color into my wardrobe again. While I know you technically can wear colors no matter the season there’s something about the cold and grey of winter that just brings out more neutral colors than anything else. At least for me personally, I mean who wants to wear bright pink or pastel yellow when it’s the dead of winter with the sun going down at 4:00 pm, it just doesn’t feel right. But now that New York City has flowers that have been planted all over the city, the parks are starting to populate again, and having a cocktail outside is just in our midst. So with my excitement brewing to start having fun with my wardrobe again I did a little research on which color trends for spring I would want to try, and found 5 that were so good I had to give it a go.

Metallic’s are having a major moment in 2023 from the runaways to street style, it seems like every fashion person has a metallic piece in their wardrobe. I tried out this color trend as accessories with these By Far boots and mini bag. I have to say I think these touches of metal made the whole look. While a great black boot and bag would have worked, the gold really turns up the heat.
New York Fashion Week was filled with Mermaidcore moments and while at first I wasnt too obsessed with the idea, on a recent trip to Miami I wore this blue and green Retrofete dress with a body hugging, mermaid-like silhouette and I loved it. I have a feeling I’ll be embracing the trend more and more as it gets warmer.

So many of my favorite brands and fashion people have been saying “yes” to sequins lately, I decided to try a sequin set for my recent Miami trip and loved it. It’s such a fun night out choice with tons of main character energy. I got tons of compliments on this one.
Of all the trends that have come and gone recently balletcore has been one of my favorites. As a former ballerina, I’ll admit – I’m a little biased. But I have so much nostalgia for those days in the dance studio so anytime I get to incorporate any balletcore elements into my look, I usually take it. With spring just arriving I see myself embracing this pastel pink on repeat.
When it comes to colors I’m usually attracted to wearing lavender or lilac are usually not colors that I am drawn to but after seeing so much purple on the runways during Fashion Week I thought “why not?” and tried this dreamy purple midi dress from Bronx and Banco. While I wouldnt’t have normally picked this color out in the past, consider me officially converted. I have never had so many people tell me they liked a color on me.
