Bose's Sleepbuds II are for catching some Z's, not playing your music

If you’ve been having trouble sleeping, Bose has a $250 solution for you.

A year after being discontinued for battery problems, Bose is bringing back its wireless Sleepbuds. These earbuds aren’t meant to compete with Apple’s AirPods or anything like that, though. As the name suggests, you’ll wear these to bed with the goal of making you more comfortable and relaxed than you would be without them. 

The Sleepbuds II, which launch on Oct. 6 for $250, aren’t like other earbuds on the market — you can’t just connect them to your phone and listen to whatever you want. Bose has a bunch of other wireless earbuds for that. Instead, the buds connect to a special mobile app with 35 free tracks that will presumably drown out the world around you and quiet your mind so you can get to sleep.
