Trust Me, This Expensive-Looking Hair Colour Will Be Everywhere in 2024

We’ve seen our fair share of hair trends this year, from the Beckham bob to the French pixie haircut, and as we come to the end of 2023, I’ve been thinking a lot about what trends we can expect to see everywhere in the new year. I have no doubt that bob hairstyles will still be popular, but what hair colours will everyone be opting for? I don’t know about you, but lately I’ve been noticing a lot of people opt for warmer, richer hair colours, so when I heard Zoe Irwin, creative director at John Frieda salons, talking about the ‘Bambi blonde’ hair trend, I immediately told all of my friends and family that this is the hair colour that everyone will be asking for in 2024.

If you’re not yet familiar with this chic shade, not to fear, as I asked Irwin to share all the info. According to her, this trending colour is a mix of deep honey, fawn and vanilla shades. “Bambi blonde makes a really nice winter blonde,” says Irwin, as the blend of colours give the hair that warm finish. Not only is this colour perfect for any blondes out there, but Irwin says that it’s also a great option for brunettes who want to go a bit lighter. “It’s a layering technique which does away with painstaking highlights in favour of thicker slices of honey, caramel, beige and gold tones that blend seamlessly,” she explains. I don’t know about you, but I think that this hair colour looks so expensive, and I will definitely be giving it a go in place of my usual balayage. Sofia Richie Grainge recently showed off her Bambi blonde hair, and it’s safe to say that I am obsessed.

Even Beyoncé is a fan of the trending hair colour.

This trend looks so stunning on curly hair.

I mean, how chic?

Opt for a darker root to keep this colour as low-maintenance as possible.

Don’t be afraid to go lighter on the ends though.

You can also add some face-framing highlights.

I love how warm and golden this hair colour looks.

Irwin recommends using a hydrating hair mask on coloured hair, and I love this Briogeo one.

Irwin also says that it’s important to use specific shampoos for coloured hair. Kérastase have created a shampoo and nourishing treatment duo specifically for blonde tones.

For those of you with naturally curly hair, keep your curls hydrated with this cream from Pattern.

A hair oil is great for giving your hair a shiny finish, and this K18 oil also works to strengthen your ends.
