Pandemic hurts iPhone sales, helps iPad sales; kudos to Apple for hitting a five-year target

released its earnings report today for its fiscal fourth quarter which includes July, August and September. Due to the pandemic which pushed back sales of the iPhone 12 series into the first quarter of 2021, sales of the handset amounted to $26.44 billion for the quarter, a year-over-year decline of 20.7% For all of fiscal year 2020, Apple sold $137.8 billion worth of iPhone units, a 3.2% decline from fiscal year 2019.
