ZTE unveiled its Axon 60 Ultra in China today bringing dual satellite connectivity with the ability to make and receive calls and send texts via China’s Tiantong satellite system. Axon 60 Ultra will be limited to Chinese government and enterprise markets and will not be available for regular consumers.
ZTE also added a multi-antenna switching algorithm allowing the phone to combine cellular and satellite networks simultaneously for improved data transmission, lower latency, and improved connectivity even in areas with weak cellular coverage.
