Suburb on edge with multiple virus alerts

Westfield Burwood is among the alerts issued by NSW Health on Friday night, with anyone who visited the shopping centre at 100 Burwood Road between 11.45am-1.30pm on January 6 and 1-2pm on January 7 deemed a casual contact.It is advised those people must get a COVID-19 test immediately and self-isolate until a negative result is received. The same advice applied for anyone who attended Kmart in the shopping centre between 11.45am-12.15pm on January 6 and the House store between 12.20-12.30pm on January 6.

A health alert was also issued for Coles Burwood after a positive case shopped there between 12.40 and 1.20pm on January 6 and 1.20 and 1.55pm on January 7.Anyone who visited Artisaint Cafe in Burwood between 10.30-11am on January 6 and 1.10-120pm on January 7, Bing Lee between 11.25-11.40am on January 6 are also deemed casual contacts.Another Avalon venue was also added to the hot spot list on Friday night.Anyone who visited Costume in Avalon Beaches at 2/21-23 Old Barrenjoey Road from 2-2.15pm on Thursday December 31 must get a COVID-19 test immediately and self-isolate until a negative result is received.
