The former Dancing With The Stars judge, 38, made headlines over the weekend when he told The Daily Telegraph that he has suffered two heart attacks, one in his 20s and one just after his 36th birthday.Speaking on Studio 10 this morning, MacManus went into detail about the first heart attack which he suffered while living in Las Vegas.“It came at a time in my life when I was very down,” the visibly emotional TV host said. “And … um … I was down and I didn’t know what it was.

“People were looking at me going, ‘Gees, you’ve got a great life,’ and I did, but at the same time, I hated it. I hated myself. I just hated everything to the point that when that first one happened, I didn’t really care what was going to happen.”MacManus revealed he wasn’t sleeping well at the time and admitted he had a drinking problem.“I wasn’t looking after myself because I didn’t have anything to look after in my eyes,” he said. The entertainer said he was doing a dance show in Las Vegas when the heart attack hit.“I came off the stage, I went into the bathroom to throw cold water on my face … and then I woke up and I was on the ground,” he said. After suffering his second heart attack years later, MacManus was diagnosed with myopericarditis, which is inflammation of the heart muscle and the pericardium.
