The OnlyFans star took to Instagram to backtrack on her controversial comments, saying she was “poking fun” when she made the remarks about her experiences in quarantine with tennis star boyfriend Bernard Tomic. In an emotional Instagram post, Sierra said her YouTube vlog, in which she complained about not being able to have her hair washed by a hairdresser, was meant to be “light-hearted”.“Thank you to all of you who have had my back through this absolute s—t show today,” she wrote.

“Never thought I’d wake up to 500 death threats and hate after poking fun at myself about my hair.”Sierra, who was ranked No. 2 on News Corp’s WAG 100 power list, said her comments were taken out of context by a Seven news report and those who know her agree she is “not one to complain”. “It’s easy to take something out of context when you take 2 sentences out of a 10 minute vlog, and throw it in a negative news story on mainstream media amid tennis player complaints about their mandatory quarantine,” she wrote on Instagram last night.“My vlog is irrelevant to the above complaints. Social media is my full time work and daily vlogs on YouTube are a part of this, I’m real, honest and raw and show things as they are.“Watching the snippets, as an outsider on Channel 7’s twisted story with no idea of who I am, what I do, or having watched any of my previous vlogs of course it’s going to look bad. How could it not? You can shape anything to look bad with a bit of cutting and merging into a negative news story.“And yes. I will make jokes to brighten a mentally challenging situation,” she added.

Her main Instagram account @VANESSASIERRA – which had 1.1 million followers – remained deactivated as it had breached the app’s “community standards”, while her “back-up” account @vanessa5ierra (which has more than 100,000-followers) was still live. Earlier, Sierra had delivered a stinging response to the backlash on Instagram, where she has a million followers.“I’m getting so many DEATH threats over my hair joke,” Sierra said via her Instagram story. “I was lighthearted about the entire thing and did not make any complaints … I don’t mind the food situation in quarantine,” she wrote on Instagram. The social media and OnlyFans sensation shared an intimate view of the couple’s hotel room, revealing they have been stuck inside playing video games up to 11 hours a day.“You guys are the true definitions of class clowns on a witch hunt and if I want to laugh about how bad my hair is in quarantine I unapologetically will. Have a cry,” Sierra said on Instagram. It came after Sierra complained about the food that they had been provided, as well as not having access to a professional hairdresser.“This is the worst part of quarantine: I don’t wash my own hair,” Sierra said.“I’ve never washed my own hair. It’s just not something that I do. I normally have hairdressers that do it twice a week for me, so this is the situation that we’re dealing with.”

Despite other players being able to hit tennis balls against walls and windows in their hotel rooms in videos posted to social media, Sierra said their “tight space” only allowed for “minimal yoga”.“I played Pokemon for 11 hours straight yesterday and I think 12 hours straight the day before,” Sierra said.“Bernard’s been playing World of Warcraft for about the same time I’ve been playing Pokemon.“It’s sort of all we’ve got as an option.”Despite the experience shaping up to be a bland two weeks, she cheekily said it would allow her more time to “make some fine content for my Onlyfans”, an X-rated online subscription service.Sierra explained Tomic was a vegan and his meals were regularly not properly catered, and the couple had been spending “up $200 a day on food”.“It’s real hit and miss, sometimes the food is good, sometimes it’s not, so we’d rather order our own food,” she said.Sierra recalled one of their three nights in quarantine where they ordered food after 10pm, only to be told food could not be delivered to rooms past that hour.“They didn’t tell us there were no deliveries past 10pm,” she said in her vlog, filmed in the room as Bernard worked on a screen behind her.“We ordered like $60 worth of food, got delivered after 11pm and they refused to take it, so we weren’t allowed to eat our food.”In the original vlog released on YouTube, Tomic opened his hotel-supplied breakfast of a piece of toast.“And also when you do order your food they have to inspect it, and I don’t know what the hell they do, but by the time the food comes to you it’s so cold,” Sierra said. She claimed they had not been allowed to leave their room in three days, there was “literally no fresh air”, and the room did not have a balcony. She also said both of Tomic’s scheduled training sessions had been cancelled “last minute”.“It’s really frustrating because we’re stuck in this room with no air, no training.“A lot of people are saying ‘it was your choice to travel and that’s why you’re in quarantine’; well we had to leave Australia to do the qualifying match, to play in the Australian Open.”Ms Sierra also commented about having to “wash her own hair”, as she typically paid a professional to do it instead. But her humour didn’t land with some, blasting her on social media for the “tone deaf” commentary. The Australian Open is scheduled to start on February 8. Sierra was ranked No. 2 on News Corp’s WAG 100 list, which ranked Australia’s most powerful sporting wives and girlfriends.
