Samsung announced today it developed the industry’s first 24 Gb GDDR7 DRAM. It is intended for data centers, AI workstations, but also end-user usage in graphics cards, gaming consoles, and autonomous driving.
The new memory has twice the capacity of last year’s 16 Gb GDDR7 DRAM, revealed. The chip is built on a fifth-gen 10-nm-class process, which improves cell density by 50% while keeping the same size as the predecessor.
