The House Ethics Committee decided not to release its lawfare investigation report on sham allegations of sex trafficking and sexual relations with a minor against Matt Gaetz on Wednesday.

The Gateway Pundit reported earlier that the Committee was mulling whether or not to release their report on Wednesday in a closed-door meeting on Capitol Hill.

Before the Committee’s vote, Guest told reporters the report was incomplete, and he had “some reservations about releasing any unfinished work product.”

This move came despite Gaetz resigning from Congress last week and the Ethics Committee losing its jurisdiction. House Speaker Mike Johnson reportedly condemned the use of the House Ethics Committee “to investigate and report on persons who are not members of this body” on Tuesday.

According to Politico, ranking member Rep. Susan Wild (D-PA) indicated that the committee will meet again next month on December 5 “to further consider this matter.”

Still, as The Gateway Pundit reported, on Monday, a so-called hacker named “Altam Beezley” obtained the transcript of testimony from the lawfare Committee’s report on Matt Gaetz. As Politico writes, “Many theorize that the report is bound to leak in one way or another.”

One Democrat lawmaker, Illinois Representative Sean Casten, has said he plans to force a vote on the House Floor

Per NBC:

Democratic Rep. Sean Casten of Illinois said earlier Wednesday he would move to force a vote on the House floor to make the document public if the Ethics Committee did not agree to do so itself. The House would be required to act on Casten’s request within two legislative days, and a majority of the House would need to vote in favor to force the release of the report.

Heading into the meeting, Guest told reporters the Gaetz report was not complete, though he didn’t make clear how much work there was left to do.

“If the Ethics Committee chooses to withhold this information, later today I will introduce a privileged resolution to require a vote by the full House of Representatives on the release of the Gaetz report,” Casten added.

This is nothing more than a political payback scheme aimed at stopping Gaetz’s Senate confirmation for Attorney General. Some RINOs in the Senate, including John Cornyn of Texas, plan to use the Ethics Committee’s report against Gaetz and shoot him down at Attorney General.

The investigation originally stemmed from allegations that Rep. Gaetz had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl. The DOJ investigated the accusations but decided against pressing charges.

Gaetz was exonerated of all criminal accusations by the far-left Justice Department, which would obviously jump on the opportunity to accuse a conservative of any criminality.

Notably, the House Ethics Committee reopened the investigation in 2023 as Gaetz ramped up challenges to former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who was later ousted by Gaetz’s Motion to Vacate the chair.

Later, when Gaetz threatened to bring a Motion to Vacate against McCarthy in October 2023, McCarthy’s RINO allies began threatening to expel Gaetz based on the Committee’s investigation.

Gaetz has denied all allegations, and he’s been exonerated by Biden’s own justice department.

The Gateway Pundit will continue to provide updates on the Matt Gaetz character assassination.
