South Africa’s EFF leader Julius Malena was again calling for genocide against white South Africans at a rally this weekend.
Julius Malena told supporters, “We must be able to explain to our people what black consciousness is and why it cannot coexist with the idea that white people are inherently superior, and one of the two must die.”
Malema secured a third term as EFF president this past weekend.
Julius Malena: The EFF exists in a country indoctrinated to believe that the contradictions between the African black majority and the white capitalist ruling class can be resolved peacefully and that violence in any form must be avoided and condemned.
This belief is simply untrue. We must explain this truth to our people. When the South African Human Rights Commission takes to court for saying that ultimately our revolution will require us to kill, we must be prepared to contextualize what we mean. When the Human Rights Commission and the Racist Lobby Group take us to court for declaring that we are in a war with white supremacy, we must be able to explain to our people what black consciousness is and why it cannot coexist with the idea that white people are inherently superior, and one of the two must die.
Fanon is important here because it gives us the tools to explain to our people that the conditions within which they live are violent. It is violence to segregate African people into underdeveloped township and villages without services.
It is violence for a white minority to have complete control over the means of production in Africa. It is violence that the majority of the land remains in the hands of a white minority.
Colonialism is institutional and structural violence, and reversing it requires violence.

This is not the first time Julius Malema has called for the violence at home and abroad.
In October 2023, radical Marxist Julius Malema, the leader of the EFF political party, told his supporters that when elected he will arm the Hamas terrorists.

People came and took the land of the Palestinians. Every year they extend their occupation. When you look at the map of Palestine there is nothing left of the land in Palestine. The people of Palestine have got nothing to lose but their chains. They must stand up and fight for their freedom. And condemning Hamas is an act of cowardice. I heard some fools saying we can’t compare Hamas with Mandela and them. They are the same. This president of Areta carried guns, he was shooting to kill to liberate you. He was doing exactly what Hamas is doing.
Malema promised to arm Hamas when he takes over next year.
