Lizz Truss may not have been a successful British Prime Minister, in fact she took on the Tory leadership and Premiership after Boris Johnson fell politically wounded by ‘Partygate’, and she famously has to resign 45 days later – and her term as Prime Minister finished faster than it took to a viral internet lettuce to go bad.
But she is much more conservative than most weak Tories, and she has long and unambiguously supported Donald J. Trump – and received his support in return.
So, she can’t be branded a mere opportunist as she pictures herself in DC with a MAGA hat and a lot of excitement for Trump’s inauguration.
The Telegraph reported:
“Liz Truss said that Donald Trump’s second presidency ‘can’t come soon enough’ while posing in a Make America Great Again hat on a trip to Washington DC.
The former prime minister posted a picture of herself visiting the American capital on X, formerly Twitter, on Friday.”
Ms. Truss posted a picture of herself beneath an American flag, wearing the red MAGA hat, a white shirt and a bright blue coat.
She wrote on X: “The new @realDonaldTrump term can’t come soon enough. The West needs it”.

“Ms. Truss has been a vocal supporter of Mr. Trump. Last February, she travelled to the US and said she would vote for him over Joe Biden if she were an American citizen.
Speaking to The Telegraph at a US conservative conference in Washington then, she attacked Mr. Biden for projecting ‘weakness’ on the global stage and said the Republican Party was more ‘pro-Britain’.”
Trump has said to think ‘very highly’ of her, and praised some of her policies such as her decision to cut taxes ‘substantially’.
