The brand was so iconic that people worldwide, including Koleen Diaz (whose looks I stalk daily on social media), wanted to get their hands on the instantly recognizable pieces while growing up in the Philippines and Canada. “I never had the chance to wear an original tracksuit,” Diaz tells me. “I always saw them in movies and would try to imitate the style because I was so obsessed.”

And at the end of the day, that’s all we can really hope for.
While everyone needs a staple outfit for running errands, with summer just around the corner, this shorts set has me eager for warm-weather activities. “I’m already planning to wear this outfit on a picnic with my friends,” says Diaz. “You can never go wrong with terry cloth. It’s comfortable and soft and gives off early 2000s vibes.” She’s right—the fabric, ankle socks, bamboo earrings, and chunky sneakers make me feel like I’m right back at my best friend’s house watching MTV and gossiping about celebs.
