MediaTek’s latest chipsets continue the trend of marginal overhauls over their predecessors. The brand-new Dimensity 7400 and 7400X are near carbon copies of last year’s Dimensity 7300 and 7300X with the major change being a 100 MHz overclock on the 4x Cortex-A78 performance cores which now work at up to 2.6GHz.
The CPU also employs 2x Cortex-A55 efficiency units clocked at 2.0 GHz. Like last year the 7400X variant supports dual displays and will make its debut on upcoming flip foldable devices.
