A new STALKER 2 patch has gone live today, packing 700 fixes and improvements with a focus on combat. The 1.4 patch introduces some rather big improvements for combat, including mutants now using corpse-eating animations with dead bodies nearby, a new alert state, characters being able to use trees as cover, enhanced animations, more difficult close combat on Veteran and Stalker difficulties, humans using grenades to flush out hiding targets with no cooldown, fixed behavior for A-Life NPCs after attacking enemy lairs, generally improved mutant behavior in combat, adjusted shooting range and more.
