‘Lockdown escapee’ sparks SA covid scare

OSTN Staff

A 21-year-old man attended the station along Hindley St, in Adelaide’s CBD, on Thursday and told police he had been in NSW within the last 14 days. SA has hard border restrictions in place with NSW, blocking anyone from entering. Police closed the station on Thursday afternoon as a precaution and had it deep cleaned. The man was escorted to a medi-hotel, and inquiries are under way to determine how the man entered the state and if he breached Covid-19 restrictions. The Hindley Street Police Station has now reopened. emily.cosenza@news.com.au
