VCE results have also been pushed back, with students receiving their marks at 7am on December 16, not December 13 as planned. It’s understood that the demands of giving all students special consideration has put additional pressure on the system. Instead of domestic tertiary offers being sent out in mid December, they will now be issued on January 14.The same process took place last year due to Covid, with results only received on December 30 and offers in mid-January.The move comes amid escalating anxiety and stress for year 11 and 12 VCE students, with the GAT still not rescheduled and SACs not being undertaken at home at most schools.Schools are starting to make their own arrangements, with one eastern suburbs private school telling parents they expect the GAT (General Aptitude Test) to be moved back to term four, SACs held in school holidays and no reduction in curriculum.More detail is expected by the end of the week.
