The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are “not impressed” with the way the Palace dealt with the explosive allegations they made during their infamous Oprah Winfrey interview. The Megxit couple believe Her Majesty did not take “full ownership” of the issues raised and “little” has been done since, according to People magazine, per The Sun.Meghan, 40, and Harry, 36, made a string of very serious allegations against the royal family during their sit-down with Winfrey, which aired in March. They said there were conversations with Harry and a “family” member about their unborn son Archie and what colour his skin would be, and “what that would mean or look like”.Meghan also alleged Archie wasn’t made a prince after “concerns and conversations” about “how dark” his skin would be when he was born. And she revealed she was left feeling suicidal after joining the Royal Family. The Queen responded with a statement 36 hours after the chat, saying she was “saddened by the claims” but that “some recollections may vary”.Now, in a new chapter of Finding Freedom featured in People, authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand say the comment “did not go unnoticed”.They write: “The Queen’s ‘recollections may vary’ comment ‘did not go unnoticed by the couple, who a close source said were ‘not surprised’ that full ownership was not taken”.“’Months later and little accountability has been taken’, a pal of Meghan added. ‘How can you move forward with that?’”The Palace has not issued any update on the matter beyond its initial statement. They said at the time: “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. “The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. “Whilst some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.”It came as Harry and Meghan about to enter a new era of visibility and are set for a return to public life. Scobie revealed that the “thriving” couple are “really excited” about the busy schedule ahead following the end of their parental leave. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their second child Lillibet Diana in June.Scobie, the preferred reporter of the Sussexes – who co-authored their biography Finding Freedom – confirmed the pair will return to public life after “keeping toxicity away”.“They’re a couple who do very well in those moments of human interaction. They need to be on the ground,” Scobie told People.“They say that the proof is in the pudding, and what we are about to see is that pudding.”Although one of the main reasons for leaving the Royal Family was to get some privacy and to get away from the prying eyes of the public, Meghan and Harry are jumping back into it – just one year later.“They seem to be existing in a different place, and that place is much healthier,” Scobie said, according to People.“Meghan famously spoke about that it was not enough to survive — we are now in the thrive chapter.”
