Today, a video has been shared showing Meghan Markle Zoom calling her friends at the Hubb Community Kitchen in London. Calling in from her new home in Los Angeles, Meghan looked as casual as the rest of us right now, wearing a classic white shirt and her hair slicked back in a bun.
The call was to celebrate the announcement of the Hubb Community Kitchen’s new initiative – the team is introducing a new meal delivery service for families struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Per Omid Scobie, the service will begin Monday and will see the team cook up to 300 meals a day, three days a week.
The produce will be provided by the Felix Project and British charity Street Games will help to collect the meals from the women’s houses and distribute them to those in need.
Praising the women’s commitment to their community, Meghan said, “The spirit of the Hubb Community Kitchen has always been one of caring, giving back and helping those in need, initially in Grenfell and now throughout the UK. A home cooked meal from one neighbour to another, when they need it most, is what community is all about.” She added, “I’m so proud of the women of the Hubb Community Kitchen, and the continued support the Felix Project gives them to carry out these acts of goodwill, which at this moment in time are urgently needed.”
Meghan also spoke about the impact the organization’s cookbook, Together: Our Community Kitchen, has had since its release in 2018. “That is just a testament to you, and what I love is it’s just inspired so many people.”

The news follows yesterday’s revelation that Harry and Meghan have been volunteering with Los Angeles charity Project Angel Food to deliver meals to the critically ill as they isolate due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
