The Premier League welcomed fans back to the stands and kicked off its 2021-22 season on August 13. The competition features England’s top 20 soccer teams vying for the top prize.
With 380 matches in total, all Premier League teams play against one another on their home pitch and away. The league runs from August through May 2022.
Manchester City is looking to defend its title as the reigning champion, but the team received a stunning defeat from Tottenham Hotspur during the first week of matches. The match’s only goal was scored by the Spur’s Son Heung-min. During the second week, Man City soundly beat Norwich City 5-0.
Christian Pulisic, America’s most expensive soccer player, sat out Chelsea’s Premier League game against Arsenal on August 22. Before the match, the right wing-back confirmed in an Instagram Stories post that he tested positive for COVID-19. Despite Pulisic’s absence, the team won their second consecutive Premier League match in a 2-0 victory over Arsenal.
The third week of Premier League matches starts on August 28 with Manchester City vs. Arsenal. The game airs at 7:30 a.m. ET on Peacock Premium.
How to watch the Premier League in the US

You can watch select Premier League matches in the US on Peacock Premium and NBC’s family of networks, including NBC, NBCSN, Telemundo, USA, and Universo.
Over 175 matches will be streamed live on Peacock Premium and full replays of every Premier League match will be available after they air. Replays of matches that originally broadcast on NBCSN will land on Peacock one day after airing.
If you’re a fan of the Premier League, Peacock Premium offers comprehensive coverage for just $5 a month.
Select Premier League games will also be broadcast on NBC, NBCSN, Telemundo, USA, and Universo. Viewers who have a cable subscription that includes NBC and NBCSN can use their pay-TV account to stream matches live on the NBC website or through the NBC Sports app.
If you don’t have cable, you can get access to these channels through multiple live TV streaming services. Sling TV’s Blue Plan is the cheapest option that includes all the necessary English-language channels for watching Premier League matches. The service costs $35 a month, and new members can get their first month for just $10.
Sling TV only has NBC in certain markets, however, so you should visit Sling’s website to ensure availability before subscribing.
Other live streaming services, like YouTube TV, FuboTV, and Hulu + Live TV, also include the necessary channels to get access to select Premier League matches. NBC, NBCSN, Telemundo, USA, and Universo are included in many areas with these platforms. That said, these options are all more expensive than Sling TV, with starting costs of $65 a month.
