Kairouz, 24, is one of 50 people charged with attending an anti-lockdown rally in Sydney on July 24.The comedian, whose claim to fame is correctly predicting the state’s Covid case numbers for five days straight, is charged with two counts of not complying with a Covid-19 notice or direction and one of encouraging the commission of crime.He is defending the charges.Also known as “TikTok guy”, Kairouz did not appear in person when his case was mentioned in Sydney Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday (October 26).Kairouz’s lawyer sent written correspondence to the court allowing Registrar E Haifa to set the matter down for a hearing.“Sergeant, I am looking at around two hours or three hours?” Registrar Haifa asked the police prosecutor.The hearing was set down for June 22 next year.The court heard police have yet to serve a brief on the matter.The Western Sydney social media star, who has amassed almost 5 million likes on TikTok, was hospitalised with a bout of Covid earlier this year.However he has since recovered and his social media channels show him celebrating in good spirits at Royal Randwick Racecourse during The Everest.
