A police investigation has now launched to try and determine what caused the two-day event to turn into a “concert from hell” – with authorities confirming claims of “needle spiking” within the crowd too. Scott is said to be “beside himself” at the devastating turn of events, with a source close to the star claiming he had “no idea” what was going on in the 50,000 person crowd. “He stopped the concert to make sure people were okay,” a source told the NY Post. “There is video of him carrying on when one person was carried off, but he didn’t realise what was going on. “When he did he stopped the concert.”The musician – who has issued a statement revealing he is “absolutely devastated” by the horror turn of events – is also said to be “in tears” after discovering the extent of the incident.“He’s really upset — he had no idea what was going on, he was on stage performing,” the source added. “He’s beside himself, I’ve never heard him like that. He was in tears.”Kylie Jenner – who is currently expecting their second child – is said to be “by his side right now and supporting him”.Concertgoers at Travis Scott’s Astroworld music festival were seen trying to stop the show as he continued singing. The pregnant make-up mogul attended the disaster two-day event with their three-year-old daughter, Stormi, who was seen watching Scott perform from afar shortly before the crowd began to “compress” towards the front of the stage.“People started to fall out, become unconscious and it created additional panic,” Houston Fire Chief Samuel Peña said during a press conference. At least 23 people were rushed to a hospital, 11 of whom were in cardiac arrest.
