The TV stars had to be pried away from each other at the Melbourne Pavillion, where Carraro had just won his Whatever It Takes match against former AFL player and Love Island contestant Todd Eaton. Ruthven, 32, and Carraro, 33, were contestants on this year’s Married At First Sight (MAFS) and clashed several times on screen. One episode saw Ruthven throw water over Carraro at a dinner party.Widely-circulated footage from Friday night shows the pair clashing in the crowd of the Team Ellis event. MAFS alumni Steve Burley can be seen intervening along with a number of bystanders and Ruthven’s wife Melissa Rawson, who was reportedly injured during the struggle. The incident was captured on Instagram by another member of the MAFS circuit, Nick Furphy. The brawl allegedly began after Carraro challenged Ruthven to a future bout in the ring, while also mocking the size of his nose, calling him ‘Gonzo’. Celebrity agent Max Markson – who represents both men – said everyone had since cooled down. “Everyone’s fine I think,” Markson told NCA Newswire on Saturday. “Sam was just over excited and had just won his fight and just wanted to have a go at Bryce.” Markson also said Bryce had declared he is “a lover and not a fighter”. No charges have been laid over the incident.Carraro was often critical of Ruthven on season eight of the show, particularly of how he treated his ‘wife’, 32-year-old Melissa Rawson. Ruthven and Rawson stayed after filming and welcomed twins in October. Despite Carraro and Ruthven last week being seen shaking hands at the opening of new Melbourne establishment The European Hotel, tensions clearly remain high and bubbled over in dramatic fashion on Friday night.
