Rao walked away from the Foxtel series and was then exposed for living a ‘double life’ when it emerged she rented the Capital Grand penthouse she lived in during the show and drove a Holden Astra.“Once I got over the trauma of being in the show and other things in the press, it just made me feel yuck.’’ Rao said.“I’m really proud of where I live and I love the car I drive. It’s fab. All my son’s friends only want to come with me because I have the roof down. This is only my second car, I haven’t had my licence for long, so I’ve got to work up to Range Rovers.“It was done to shame me and that was horrible. I would expect to be papped at a function or when I was dating Jamie Durie, but not doing the school drop off. “I don’t read anything about myself and I can sleep at night. “I’m not the first Housewife to be living in a different place. I leased Capital Grand and have an agreement to prove it, so thanks for the publicity. As a wise philosopher once said, it’s better to be talked about than not.”Rao has joined celebrity agent Max Markson, as well as celebrity video messaging platform Cameo and has created her own reality television concept.“It’s not a concept that’s been done before anywhere in the world,’’ Rao said.“I nearly got it off the ground before lockdown, it’s about relationships. “I’d love to do more reality television but it’s got to be something that’s uplifting and not women tearing shreds off each other.“I don’t for one second regret doing Housewives and I feel it will be incredibly valuable.”
