The 44-year-old star had made a guest appearance with his girlfriend at OKC Pop Christmas Con in Oklahoma City while he was featured as one of the attractions at the two-day event.The former child actor rose to prominence in 1990 for his role as Kevin McCallister’s evil older brother Buzz McCallister in the holiday film Home Alone.It is reported that Ratray got into a heated argument with his girlfriend while the pair had been drinking at a bar after she didn’t charge two female fans for his autograph.The woman, who remains unnamed, said Ratray followed her back to the hotel, where he allegedly pushed her onto the bed before putting one hand on her throat and another on her mouth.On Wednesday, Ratray was arrested and is now facing charges of domestic assault and battery by strangulation, as well as domestic assault and battery charges. Authorities told Fox News that the actor “turned himself in and was processed through and bonded out” after an arrest warrant had been issued on Tuesday.He has since been released from custody after posting a $25,000 bond and denies the allegations.“The victim had trouble breathing while she was being strangled and while the defendant’s hand was over her mouth,” according to an affidavit. Ratray also allegedly told her: “This is how you die” as he continued to choke her. His girlfriend then bit Ratray‘s hand as she attempted to scream for help, before he stopped choking her but allegedly began violently punching her afterwards.She then managed to break free from Ratray’s grasp and ran out of the room.Ratray also allegedly punched her against a desk when she had returned to the room to collect her belongings. According to KFOR, the victim was found with multiple injuries including bruising under her left eye, marks under her right eye, marks above the left side of her lip, a bruise on her chest and a sore arm.The pair have since broken up following the violent fight. The actor has denied the violent encounter ever took place and claimed he never put his hands on her.“Mr Ratray denies he ever laid a hand on her or did anything in regards to anything like that,” Ratray’s lawyer Scott Adams said. “What we do know happened was the individual he was with and he was from out of town (and) got into a disagreement. She called the police eventually. “They showed up at the scene and two patrol officers talked to Mr Ratray They talked to the female. They didn’t see anything that they thought was sufficient enough to place him under arrest or take him into custody.”In addition to the Home Alone films, Ratray has appeared in Alexander Payne’s Nebraska and the Jennifer Lopez-starring Hustlers.He has a long list of TV credits, including guest spots on Law & Order, Blue Bloods, The Good Wife, Hawaii Five-O, Chicago Med and Russian doll.
