Buckingham Palace officials said the 95-year-old monarch is “not displaying any symptoms” and that her health “will continue to be monitored”.However, the statement did not confirm nor deny whether the Queen has tested positive. It came after Prince Charles contracted Covid for the second time, with Clarence House confirming his current royal engagements had been cancelled.“HRH is deeply disappointed not to be able to attend today’s events in Winchester and will look to reschedule his visit as soon as possible,” a statement from Prince Charles’ representative said, per The Sun.It is the second time the 73-year-old heir to the British throne has contracted Covid – he previously tested positive in March 2020.Prince Charles was with the Queen two days prior to his positive test, when she returned to Windsor after spending time at her Sandringham estate. “The Queen and Prince of Wales did meet recently,” a palace source told The Sun.Queen Elizabeth was seen publicly on Monday when she returned to Windsor Castle, marking 70-years on the throne. She was set to resume a regular work schedule following a four-month break due to health concerns, however those plans will likely change as the palace monitors her for symptoms. The Queen had a calendar full of “light duties” set for February, with public outings to have resumed in March ahead of her birthday celebrations in April. She was ordered to rest after a gruelling schedule of 19 events back to back in October of last year. She pulled out of four major engagements due to a “back sprain”. Prior to that health scare, the Queen was considered the third-busiest royal in terms of duties, despite her advanced age.“Lessons have been learned,” a royal source said at the time. “The Queen’s diary is filling up again but it will be paced to what is appropriate.“They don’t want to put extra strain on her and other royals will help her out where necessary.”
