  • Sen. Josh Hawley has immortalized his infamous Capitol riot fist pump in a mug design.
  • A photo of Hawley raising his fist in support of the January 6 rioters went viral following the insurrection.
  • In an email to supporters, the Hawley campaign said the mug was the “perfect way to enjoy Coffee, Tea, or Liberal Tears!”

Sen. Josh Hawley put a photo of his infamous Capitol riot salute — a raised fist in the air in apparent support of the January 6 Capitol rioters — on a mug that he’s selling to raise campaign funds.

The mug was advertised in an email to supporters sent by Hawley’s campaign, which showed the image of the mug’s design. It is a black-and-white rendering of Hawley with his fist raised, along with the lawmaker’s name and the words “show-me strong.”

“Liberals are so easily triggered, and this new mug is really whipping the left into a frenzy,” read the campaign email. “Josh isn’t scared — he’s show-me strong!” a reference to Hawley representing Missouri, nicknamed the “Show-Me State.”

“This Made in America mug is the perfect way to enjoy Coffee, Tea, or Liberal Tears!” the email continues.

The email goes on to encourage Hawley’s supporters and “proud, fearless conservatives” to either order one for themselves, or “any woke friend or family member that you want to trigger.”

The ceramic mug was for sale in the Hawley campaign’s online store for $20 at press time. However, according to Rolling Stone magazine, Hawley might not have the license to use the image. The Associated Press, which owns the rights, said in an email to Rolling Stone that they would be looking into the matter.

Hawley is one of several GOP senators who objected to the votes for the 2020 presidential election being certified, leading the charge to challenge the Electoral College vote tally

Representatives for Hawley did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.
